Rishad Hossain's impressive bowling spell, followed by a quick knock from Towhid Hridoy, helped Bangladesh chase down a target of 125 runs.

Despite losing early wickets, Hridoy's 40 off 20 balls brought Bangladesh back into the game, with Litton Das also contributing 36 runs.

For Sri Lanka, pacer Nuwan Thushara took four wickets.

Earlier in the match, Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman each took three wickets, while Taskin Ahmed took two for Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka was the top scorer with 47 runs.

Bangladesh had a disastrous start, losing openers Soumya Sarkar and Tanzid Hasan in the first two overs.

Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto tried to build a partnership, but Shanto was dismissed by a sharp catch.

Das and Hridoy then executed a well-planned partnership, avoiding risky shots and putting pressure on the bowlers.

Hridoy took on Wanindu Hasaranga, bringing Bangladesh back in control.

However, wickets fell at timely intervals, and Thushara spoiled their party in the 18th over, bringing the tail-enders to bat.

Mahmadullah acted as the savior, securing the win for Bangladesh.

In the post-match presentation, Najmul Hossain Shanto, the winning captain, expressed happiness with the win and praised the team's efforts.

He mentioned that they had been preparing and practicing for the last 10-15 days and appreciated Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy's performances.

Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri Lankan captain, acknowledged that they started well with the bat but lost their way.

He emphasized that bowling is their strength and that they needed 150-160 runs to be competitive.

Rishad Hossain was named Player of the Match for his outstanding spell, thanking the almighty for his performance.
