Great Britain - Web content about Wordle hint
Welcome back to Tuesday, dear Wordlers.
It's another hot day, so drink plenty of water and stay cool! Speaking of staying cool, my competitive Wordle game has been quite challenging lately.
I've lost to the WordleBot for at least four consecutive days, and I have bad news for today's Wordle.
Sorry for the odd hint, but past-tense words are tricky when it comes to giving hints.
I only got today's Wordle in four attempts because I couldn't think of any alternatives.
I started with 'SHAME,' which was okay but not great.
It gave me one green 'S' and four grey boxes.
Not to worry, I thought, I'll guess all new letters.
'TRULY' only got me one more green box and just one vowel.
'FOUND' reduced the remaining solutions to three, but as I mentioned, I only came up with one: he swings and he hits! 'SWUNG' for the win! I guessed it in just four attempts today, which is better than all the fives I've been getting.
Zero points for that.
Minus one for losing to the WordleBot, who got today's in three.
Dang it!Here's the scoring system: guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is worth -1 point; guessing in 6 is worth -2 points, and missing the Wordle is worth -3 points.
If you beat your opponent, you get 1 point.
If you tie, you get 0 points.
And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point.
Add it up to get your score.
Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score each day.
The word 'swung' is the past tense and past participle form of the verb 'swing.
' The etymology of 'swing' traces back to Old English.
Here's a breakdown: the word 'swung' followed the typical pattern of strong verbs in English, where the vowel changes in the past tense.
Hence, 'swing' became 'swung.
