Gabriel Gonzalez, the original trumpet player for the popular rock/ska band No Doubt, has passed away, according to multiple reports.

Gonzalez also played in ska bands like Save Ferris, the Untouchables, the Skeletones, and Kingston A Go Go.

According to the site, Gonzalez was a co-writer on No Doubt’s “Total Hate 95” and “Paulina.

” SPIN mentioned that it interviewed Gonzalez in January about No Doubt, which is led by frontwoman Gwen Stefani.

“We all kind of knew that we were creating something different, and being in the mod-ska scene in the early to mid-’80s was a pretty spectacular thing,” he told the site.

No Doubt first formed in 1986, and while the band has taken breaks as Stefani pursued a solo career, it reunited earlier this year.
