Barcelona's hopes of signing Nico Williams this summer may not be over after all, according to the latest updates from the rumor mill.

**Diario Sport** reports that Barcelona remains 'convinced' they will land the Spanish star this summer and have been told he wants to move.

'He has told us that he wants to come this summer,' the Catalan daily quotes a 'source' as saying regarding the forward.

The report goes on to suggest that Barcelona even 'believes that next week he will sign' as they only now need to sort out how to fund the transfer.

The update claims **Joan Laporta** has taken command of the operation in a bid to get it done and dusted.

Exits will be needed if Nico is to come, but Barcelona is working on departures.
