Vinesh has filed two appeals to the CAS.
One of the appeals was regarding the fact that she had reached the final in a fair manner.

That verdict had a 24-hour window.
Another appeal that Vinesh has filed through her lawyers is regarding the 29-year-old being rewarded with a joint silver medal.
The CAS has accepted Vinesh’s appeal, but the verdict for this may not have a 24-hour window and it is possible that it could be out in a few days.

Vinesh was due to face USA’s Sarah Ann Hildebrandt in the final on Wednesday but was disqualified after it was discovered that she had been overweight by 100 grams.
As per the United World Wrestling (UWW) competition rules, a wrestler’s results would be annulled if he (or she) does not gain weight on both days of the competition.
IOA President PT Usha met UWW President Nenad Lalovic on Wednesday to request that Vinesh’s results from the first day not be annulled.
However, the meeting did not yield any desired result.
Hildebrandt eventually defeated Guzman in the final to win the gold medal.
On Thursday morning, a heartbroken Vinesh expressed her disappointment.
