**India in recent times have cooked some serious numbers away from home, especially in the longer format of the game.
Apart from India’s phenomenal show of resilience from the batters, their fast-bowling trio of Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj have played an instrumental role in shaping up India’s trio on the road.
****In the recent video released by BCCI, where Virat Kohli shared an insightful confab with Gautam Gambhir, the former RCB captain opened up on how the Indian quicks have been a crucial part of India’s bowling battery away from home.
Virat said, “When you talk about bowlers and you talk about Ishant Sharma, the first thing that comes to mind is his spell at Perth.
He claimed Ricky Ponting as a youngster.
If you take a look at his cricket career, Ishant Sharma had 100-plus Test matches in his career.
Zaheer Khan took many wickets for India in Test cricket and had a great 50-over World Cup.
”****He further added, “Mohammed Shami isn’t one of the greatest fast bowlers in world cricket because he is a great T20 bowler but he is one of the most successful Test bowlers.
What he did at the 50-over World Cup adds value.
You speak about Bumrah, we don’t talk about his T20 yorkers, yesterday we were talking about him.
He is the most complete all-format bowler.
So when you bring in the value of a cricketer, you cannot bring that by separating the value of the other two formats.
If you really want to earn the value of a cricketer, the respect that we all gained, it is going to come with all the three formats.
”****VK concluded by saying about Siraj, stating, “It is the same with Siraj.
The USP of Siraj today is that he wants to play Test cricket.
He is hungry to do well in Test cricket and he wants to win away from home.
I think these are the values that other cricketers can look up to from the current lot.
